So here are few tips i plan to follow:
- Rinse your hair with tap water before getting in the pool. if your hair is rinsed with water it won't absorb as much chlorine.
- Cover hair wear a swim cap if you prefer. If a swim cap causes your hair to pull, especially around the edges, don't use it. Just let your hair hang free.
- Apply a hair serum or natural oil to your hair right after you rinse paying special attention to the ends. This will help protect your hair from friction during swimming. (a conditioner can be use as well)
- After swimming rinse your hair with tap water again.
- Always shampoo after swimming, chlorine dose not rinse out. Use a anti- chlorine shampoo. If you are a frequent swimmer it's better to co-wash your hair, mainly shampooing the scalp.
- Continue with your regular shampoo routine. Make sure you deep condition EVERY TIME, this will put the moisture lost back into your hair.
- Try to limit the use of heat. Air drying is best. If you do use heat use a low setting.
- Protective styles are best.
enjoy swimming! i know Mi Mi will.
