What Is PrePoo?

I have been coming across this word a lot through my reading. So I decided to research it. Prepoo is nothing but a pre shampoo treatment thus using the “nickname” prepoo. Prepoo is very similar to the hot oil treatments moms' use to do on your hair back in the day. The only difference is a  prepoo is done on dry hair prior to shampooing. You can choose among many different kinds of oils to apply to your hair when doing a prepoo. Some of the more popular used are natural oils such as Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (EVCO), Extra Vigin Olive Oil (EVOO), Castor, Avocado, and Sweet Almond. Each oil has its own benefit, you just have to find one that meets your needs, you like and works best for your hair. You can also mix oils and create your own mixture if you want. There are also retail hair products that are specifically made to use on your hair before shampooing, in which I was unaware of. I would always just do hot oil treatments or oil my scrap afterwards.
There are many benefits to prepooing. Some benefits are helping with coating the hair and penetration of moisture, decrease tangles, stop breakage, softening, extra conditioning and make hair manageable. Prepooing can be done within your regular hair regimen or on a as needed basis.
Now that I have came across this helpful info I am going to apply this to Mi Mi’s hair regimen.

Do you Prepoo? How do you do your prepoo?
