Grandma Judy's Dreads

My Mom came down to visit for a week. While she was here she wanted me to wash and re-twist her dreads.
Mommy has been growing her dreads for about four years now. She decide to stop relaxing and dread her hair after her hair begin breaking off and thinning. Her dreads are about mid-back in length. Mommy's keeps her dreads neat and clean. She usually washes, twist, and manages her dreads herself.  But this time i got the opportunity to do them. So here is what i did.

I first washed Mommy's hair with Taliah Waajid Clean & Natural Herbal Hair Wash . When washing her hair i first focused on her scalp to get it cleansed. Then i concentrated on the length of her hair by applying the shampoo then rubbing the dreads together. i repeated this twice to ensure that her hair was clean. After her hair was washed i applied Taliah Waajid  Enhancing Herbal Conditioner  to both her scalp and length of her hair. Leaving it in for about 10 minutes.
After her hair was rinsed thoroughly i used a towel to squeezed the excess water from the length of her hair. While her hair was damp i took one dread at a time applying MURRAY'S Loc-Lock Gel to the base and begin palm rolling from the root to the end. After the dread was twisted a placed a clip at the base to secure the twist in place. Once her whole head was twisted Mommy sat under a hood dryer until her hair was dry.

Once her hair was completely dry i took out the clips. i then applied EVOO and Rosemary Oil to hair scalp and styled her hair.

Fishtail French Braid
Mommy loved the style. And i enjoyed given her hair some love.
